EWC Weather Consult GmbH is an internationally operating, private weather service provider located in Karlsruhe, one of the most important technology regions in Germany. The company was founded in 1999. As part of the global UBIMET group, EWC provides worldwide customised weather phenomena solutions for the energy industry, insurance companies and official authorities. Readings of more than 1,000 German, more than 2,500 European and over 17,000 worldwide weather stations, in-house weather models and statistical, MOS-based procedures (Model Output Statistics) as well as our meteorologists’ and business partners’ know how allow high-quality weather analyses to suit your needs.

Database

Database of all our weather information and services are meteorological data from official weather offices operating to WMO standard (World Meteorological Organization), modern geographic information systems and models of international computer centres. For localising lightning discharges, we use LINET, the highly-precise lightning detection system of nowcast GmbH. Our in-house weather models, statistical procedures and neural networks process our meteorological data and are subject to a constant in-house quality control.

The close cooperation between our meteorologists and R&D engineers guarantees precise weather information and allows a quick reaction on customised demands.
