Meteorological data of the last 24 hours and previous days worldwide
Where is a storm brewing? Where are cold fronts developing? EWC’s Real-Time Data provide prompt meteorological data for temperature, wind, precipitation and cloud cover of the last 24 hours and previous days. Data for Germany are supplied at hourly and daily intervals, Europe-wide and worldwide data are given at 1 to 6-hourly or daily intervals.

Our standard data processing
- Hourly and daily data
- Condensed data: means, totals, frequency distributions, correlations, duration statistics etc.
- All meteorological parameters relevant to the energy sector and indicators derived from them (e.g. wind chill factor, effective cloud cover, degree day figures)
- Optional flagging of non-representative locations, e.g. hilltops or coastal locations, as well as data without WMO-standard verification
- Maximum prediction quality achieved by regular maintenance and documented changes in compliance with WMO guidelines
EWC uses the following data
- Meteorological data are exclusively from official national weather offices operating to WMO standards (World Meteorological Organization)
- Germany-wide hourly readings from over 1,000 weather stations of Deutscher Wetterdienst
- Europe-wide readings from over 2,500 weather stations at 1 to 6-hourly intervals
- Global readings from over 17,000 weather stations
