Online analysis of hailstorms

eHail informs fast and easily about localised hailstorms in Germany. Thus, insurance advisers obtain an important tool for claim settlement by receiving a yes / no statement.

eHail offers the possibility to enter the loss location by address or geocoding (longitude and latitude). Dates, hourly time periods and one, three of seven day(s) can be verified. The claim analysis due to hail is retroactive possible from spring 2006 onwards.

EWC uses the following data

• Precipitation radar for Germany
• Analysis data is based on 5-minute radar measurements of 16 weather stations
• Spatial resolution within a 1km x 1km grid
• Geocoding of the loss location accurate to the house number
• Remote sensing data
