Our standard data processing:
- Global hourly, daily, monthly and climate data
- Condensed data: means, totals, frequency distributions, correlations, duration statistics, etc.
- All meteorological parameters relevant to the energy
sector and indicators derived from them (e.g. wind
chill factor, effective cloud cover, degree day figures)
- On request, EWC can fill in data gaps with a global physical meteorological model (DMO – Direct Model Output)
- Flagging of non-representative locations, e.g. hilltops or coastal locations, and data without WMO-standard verification
EWC uses the following database
- Meteorological data are exclusively from official national weather offices operating to WMO standards (World Meteorological Organization)
- Germany-wide hourly readings from over 1,000 weather stations of Deutscher Wetterdienst
- Germany-wide daily readings from over 45 climate stations of Deutscher Wetterdienst for the past 60 years
- Europe-wide readings from over 2,500 weather stations at 1-6-hourly intervals
- Global readings from over 17,000 weather stations

- Supplied as: e-mail, SFTP, pull and push, Web services, ISDN, P2P
