We use the following data base

• Exclusively official weather data of national weather offices operating to WMO standards (World Meteorological Organization)*:
  Readings of more than 1,000 German, more than 2,500 European and over 17,000 weather stations worldwide
• Measurements from over 500 wind power plants
• Lightning discharge data from LINET, the highly-precise lightning discharge system of nowcast GmbH
• European-wide, consistent lightning achieve since July 1998
• Data of the DWD radar network
• In-house event database of exceptional events like earthquakes, flood, etc.

*The data ensures a high measuring standard by constant maintenance and recorded changes over longer time periods
